标题: easier to speak in english or write in english??

as title

1)easier to speak in english or write in english??
2)if there is an opportunity to express in english, will u take this advantage??
if (2) is a "yes", then
3)will u too shy to talk english with a lot of people??

Personal answer :
1) i think its easier to speak in english bcoz u dont need to worry about wrong grammar or sequence etc, as long as the person understand u then its fine
but write in english required the correct grammar etc

2) yes and i actually joined, we had fun in chatting with each other
3) shy in the beginning but its going great after some time

I find it either write or speak in English have to be practiced at the same time.
By doing both together, you will gain confidence.
Of course environment is very important! Keep this practice, you will find this is crucially in your future work field!

for me, i think it is easier to write in english compare with speak in english.... in text, u hav time to think how to construct ur sentences. u also can make correction anytime.

yeah, both should be practiced but there is no equal important for everything
so i still think that speaking is much important
bcoz speaking required u to construct and forming sentences speedy before u voice them out
so once u have confidence in speaking, there will b no problems in writing

the only problem will be the construction of the sentences

anywhere, even u very good in writing doesnt mean u r good in speaking
bcoz tooo many ppl scared to talk english in public

hahaha its not a formal talk, nobody will care
even US/UK ppl dont care
but if come to formal talk like interview/presentation
of coz it is important

Yeah, totally agree!
Many of my classmates (UK) speak smoothly, but when come to writing in notes or lecture slides...
Honestly speaking... they really sXck on that...

even when they talk, i means when they talk to each other in their own group
u most probably wont get wat they talking about
bcoz they talk really speedy and many words tend to disappear
from my experiences, they trying to talk slower when they talk to outsiders

nobody has talk english at outside.
In class, of coz speak with lecture, but after the class ,all are mandarin

same as you..speaking is wayyyy easier then writing..writing is like checking on the gammar, vocab. using description...no excuse for all these because we get to check..argghhhhhh

I'm afraid this is only your wishful thinking. Maybe that's the way it is in Malaysia, but English is not used in Malaysia only. If you don't speak English with descent grammar, you'd sound rather awkward and unnatural, and it inevitably causes communication problems. Imagine a foreigner speaking ungrammatical Mandarin to you, you'll probably understand what you've been doing to English speakers when you think or insist that they don't care about your English grammar...

to be honest, i got plenty of foreigner frens
and they do understand my bad english
thus i think its shouldnt has a problem to communicate with foreigners even my english is poor
anyhow ur proper english will be useful for paper works
its not only wat i said but wat my frens told me as well

They're able to understand you probably because they've been here for a while and are able to understand Manglish better.
Your friends probably say that to make you feel more comfortable or they're just being friendly. What do you expect them to say? Your English sʌcks? You wouldn't tell a foreigner his Mandarin sʌcks either, would you?

im so sorry to tell, first they are not here for long and they dont understand manglish
thats the reason they had really little frens here except the one from their own countries
second, i dont need to tell them their mandarin scks coz they dont speak other languages tho, even malay they also dont understand, u expect them to understand mandarin?
third, they knew me well, i dont mind if they said my english scks and yes they did said that to me
but compare to others, at least they can understand me
i knew u concern bout talking english with proper grammar and its a good thing for u
but for me i dont bother much bout it
anyhow there is no point to argue bout this with u, u can live ur happy life with ur proper english
and i can live mine with my scks english, as long as my frens understood

换个角度来看吧，碰到一个会说一点华语的老外，我们常会赞他华语讲得真好，事实上他们发音不标准，语法不对，用词不当..... 而如果他是同事，在工作上他有限的华语造成大家沟通上的问题，我们还会赞他，还会不在乎他语法用词上的问题吗？

其实根本不能相提并论。。英文跟华语本来就差了一大截
past, present, past continues这些是华语没有的
anywhere, as long as u r happy with it~
ok, grammar is very important no matter its in writing nor speaking, happy?
