Square Enix & Dontnod Entertainment announce new title
Square Enix today announced that the brand new, episodic, digitally delivered, narrative driven adventure game entitled Life is Strange is coming to the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
Developed by Dontnod Entertainment, the Paris-based studio who released their debut game Remember Me last year the game takes place in the fictional town of Arcadia Bay, Oregon, where senior student Max Caulfield returns after a 5 year absence. Reunited with her former friend Chloe, the pair will attempt to uncover the uncomfortable truth behind the mysterious disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber.
With high quality production values and a unique hand-drawn art style, Life is Strange is a compelling, story-driven experience where choice and consequence play a key role in how the narrative unfolds. But there is a twist. At the beginning of the game Max discovers she has a remarkable power… the ability to rewind time. In Life is Strange the player has the power to affect the game’s narrative and also change the course of history itself.

Life is Strange - Release Date and Price Announced
Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment today announced the release date of the brand new, episodic, narrative driven adventure game Life is Strange that is coming to the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC.
Episode 1 of a 5 part series will be released on all platforms on January 30, 2015 and each episode will cost $4.99. Players can alternatively purchase the entire season for $19.99. The PC version will be available for pre-purchase starting today.

We’re still hard at work at the studio but would like to share the second Life is Strange Dev Diary for you to see more of the game we’ve been creating here in Paris.

Life is Strange Episode 1 Out Tomorrow on PS4, PS3
Hi everyone, Jmax from Dontnod here, and I’m delighted to share the launch trailer for Life is Strange, which is out tomorrow on PS4 and PS3!
We are all thrilled at the idea that players are finally getting their hands on our new game. It’s been an intense and sometimes challenging journey, but it was definitely worth it. And, well, it’s far from over, as the team here is very hard at work on parts 2 through 5, ensuring they get released at timely intervals so you always know when the next one is going to drop.
The first episode that you’ll play is called Chrysalis, and it’s basically an introduction to the world of Life is Strange. You’ll see Max and Chloe reunite and you’ll make important choices that will influence their destiny. You will see some of the short-term consequences of those choices but bear in mind that there are also mid and long-term repercussions that will pan out over the course of the later episodes, in a butterfly effect manner. So you might rewind your choices as much as you want in the short term but you will never know what might happen further down the line. And of course we’ll ensure that you always get surprised by unexpected turns of events and that your experience really feels unique and customized by your choices.
This first episode is also an introduction to the general mechanics of the game, and although Life is Strange emphasizes story and choice over puzzles, you will also see an evolution over the next episodes in terms of how you need to combine different types of interactions and rewinds.
A trial is also coming to PS4 and PS3 so you can get a feel for the game before you make your first meaningful choice: to buy or not to buy!
So that’s it, I hope you like the trailer and the first episode, and we already can’t wait to bring you parts 2 through 5!

开发商称《奇异人生》第二章2015年3月内上架
《奇异人生》是一款章节式配信游戏，游戏的第一章已经于2015年1月30日推出，第二章原计划于3月13日配信，而此前Square Enix则表示第二章会延期推出。不过日前游戏开发商Dontnod Entertainment则表示之前的延期消息只是一个“传闻”，游戏的第二章开发仍处在正确轨道上，他们预计会在3月之内推出。
Dontnod Entertainment通过游戏的官方推特透露了这一消息，他们表示：“之前有第二章延期的传闻，不过游戏的发售仍在轨道上，我们预计会在3月之内发售。”
不过实际上，官方的这一说法并没有说明第二章是否会按照原定的计划在3月13日推出，也不清楚3月13日是否只是误传的发售日。具体细节还有待进一步证实，请玩家们耐心等待后续报道。

New Life is Strange Trailer for 'Episode 2: Out of Time'
Episode 1: Chrysalis was just the beginning of our story, it was an introduction to the characters, to Blackwell Academy and to Arcadia Bay, but there is much more to come. Will Max and Chloe discover what has happened to Rachel Amber? Why does Max have this vision of a tornado? And what is the weird snow storm about? There are plenty of secrets lurking in Arcadia Bay…
In Episode 2: Out of Time you will start to see much of your choices affecting the story in a lot of different ways, be prepared for some surprises! You will also discover new locations as Max will go outside of Blackwell Academy and start exploring new areas in Arcadia Bay. You'll be able to learn more about the town, its inhabitants, and the social issues it’s facing. On top of this, new and important characters will be introduced, as well as having a lot of difficult choices to make.
For those have already purchased Episode 1, you can pick up episodes 2-5 separately on console or via the ‘Season Pass’ ($17.99) on console and PC. Alternatively, you can purchase all episodes with the ‘Complete Season’ bundle for $19.99 . If you have yet to play Life is Strange, there is a free trial available for you to try out the game as well.
Get ready for Episode 2: Out of Time releasing on all platforms on Tuesday, March 24th.

The wait is almost over, Life is Strange Episode Four's release date has been confirmed!
The fourth instalment 'Dark Room' will be hitting consoles and PC on Tuesday July 28! In this episode, Max’s investigation into Rachel Amber ramps up to a thrilling conclusion.
Episode three ended on a pretty big cliff-hanger and I’m looking forward to reading all your thoughts/reactions as the story continues to unfold.

Life is Strange Episode 5 (Finale) Coming October 20
《奇异人生》终章发售日公开 但不保证准时推出
《奇异人生》制作组Dontnod Entertainment宣布，《奇异人生》的第五章，即最终章将于2015年10月20日上线。但制作组负责人同时表示，游戏的开发并没有正式结束，所以“情况可能随时有变”。

Life is Strange Episode 5 - Aiming for October 20 release

We’ve seen that a lot of you can’t wait to play the Life is Strange finale and are eagerly awaiting a release date. The episode is getting closer to submission and we have almost completed development.
We don’t normally announce a date until we know the game is 100% ready but in the spirit of Max’s birthday (today) we wanted to let you know early that we are aiming to release Episode 5 ‘Polarized’ October 20.
Many things can change in the lead up to release but the team are working really hard to try and hit this date. We know the wait may be a bit longer than some of you were hoping for but we want to ensure Episode 5 is the best it can be.
Your tweets, comments and messages have kept us going through this busy stage of development and we can’t thank you enough for your continued support.

Life is Strange coming to retail in January
Life is Strange Limited Edition Announcement
It's been just under a month since Life is Strange's story concluded with Episode 5. We've loved having you explore Arcadia Bay with us and the Life is Strange community has been fantastic since the first episode became available for download.
Life is Strange was originally released for digital stores/platforms but today we are pleased to announce the Life is Strange Limited Edition!
You will now be able to purchase & own all five episodes on disc for PS4 & Xbox One - releasing January 19! The Limited Edition features a 32 page artbook (including unreleased concept art), the full Life is Strange soundtrack, plus the original score by Jonathan Morali and director's commentary! A full tracklist can be found at the bottom of this blog.
We've seen a lot of requests from the community for a physical release and we wanted to create a package fit for Life is Strange fans. For those who haven't played or are waiting to play, this would be a great time to dive into the series (plus you won't have to wait in between episodes).

Life is Strange Boxed Limited Edition in US Stores Now
The Limited Edition boxed version of Dontnod’s multi award-winning episodic adventure Life is Strange is available today in the US and on Friday, January 22 in EU and other PAL territories for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
“If you’d have told me this time last year that, a year later, Life is Strange would be winning prestigious awards and topping Game of the Year lists I’m not sure I’d allow myself to believe you!” explained Luc Baghadoust, Producer at Dontnod Entertainment. “The Limited Edition is our way of saying thank you to everyone who’s supported us along the way.”

《奇异人生》由Dontnod Entertainment工作室开发，于15年初发售，该作讲述了一个温馨神秘的冒险故事，游戏强调多多分支和剧情体验，是一款非常高素质的重叙事动作游戏，该作在15年的各项游戏评奖中也是收获颇丰。在游戏中玩家将扮演能够倒流时间的女主角Max Caulfield，和好友一起探寻同学的失踪真相。不过唯一遗憾的是该作并没有官方中文，这或多或少给大家带来一些游戏体验上的障碍。

那款颇受好评的百合冒险游戏《奇异人生》目前确认续作正在开发中，这是开发公司DONTNOD Entertainment通过YouTube视频公开的。

Rumor: Life is Strange prequel by Deck Nine Games images leaked
《奇异人生》前传泄露 或将参加本次E3 2017大展
国外网站Imgur公开了多张疑似《奇异人生》前传作品的游戏画面图，据传这款作品由Deck Nine Games开发制作，而有消息称这款作品或将参加本次E3大展。
国外网站Gamekult首先在Deck Nine Games的官方网站上发现了一张疑似《奇异人生》前传的截图，随后网站迅速移除了这张截图。
针对此事Neogaf会员J！NX表示Deck Nine Games昨日刚刚透露计划在今年的E3上公布一款故事性非常强的游戏作品，很可能就是这款前传作品，这也意味着《奇异人生》前传已经开发了有一段时间，而游戏也将探寻Chloe和Rachel的关系。
除了前传外，《奇异人生》的续作也宣布正在制作中，制作组Dontnod Entertainment在上个月公开了正在制作续作的消息，不过续作不会出展本次E3 2017。
An Imgur album posted online today reveals what is reported to be a prequel to Life is Strange developed by Deck Nine Games.
GameKult found one of the screenshots on the server of Deck Nine Games’ official website before it was promptly removed. A user on the GameKult forums then alerted them to the Imgur album posted earlier, which includes the screenshot found on Deck Nine’s server in addition to others.
According to NeoGAF user J!NX, Deck Nine Games, which teased a narrative-driven title from a “leading AAA publisher” to be announced at E3 2017, has been working on a prequel to Life is Strange for a while. The game will reportedly let players explore the relationship between Chloe and Rachel.
Dontnod Entertainment, developer of the original Life is Strange, is also working on its own new entry in the series different from Deck Nine Games’ prequel. The studio has previously said its new Life is Strange project will not be announced at E3 2017.

《奇妙人生：风暴之前》不会剧透初代游戏剧情
在接受国外媒体 GameSpot 采访时《奇异人生：风暴之前》剧本 Zak Garriss 和制作人
David Hein 透露本作并不会剧透前部作品《奇异人生》的剧情，同时解释了为何游戏只拥有 3
个章节。
对于游玩《奇异人生：风暴之前》是否需要先游玩《奇异人生》避免剧透，制作人透露不会剧透前作剧情，在游玩这一系列时玩家完全可以选择任意一个进行游玩，每一个游戏都不会对另一个游戏有任何影像，游戏也不会涉及任何关于前作剧透的内容。不过如果你已经游玩过前部作品，会在本作中看到一些熟悉的角色和地点，并找到一些奇妙的彩蛋内容。
至于游戏的章节结构，制作组此前透露游戏的游戏时长约在 6-9 小时，这也侧方面表示游戏并不会像前作一样拥有 5 个章节，3 个章节会显得更为合适。同时在游戏开发阶段，游戏发行商 Square Enix 也并没有对游戏的长度有特别的要求。制作组会在游戏中讲述那些他们非常喜欢和让他们兴奋的过场，所以 3 个章节是非常合适的。
至于游戏对 PS4 Pro 和 Xbox One X 的适配问题，开发人透露在这两个平台都会支持 4K表现，而至于其他数据则未给予答复。

Square Enix 今天凌晨宣布，章节制游戏《奇异人生 暴风前夕》将于3月6日推出实体版本（3月6日登陆北美、3月9日登陆欧洲），登陆 PS4/Xbox One/PC 三平台。实体版将分为限定版和黑胶版两个版本，其中限定版包含三章主线内容以及额外章节“再见”（其中 PC 版为 Steam 下载版，而非光盘）和之前数字版的各种特典，还有一本艺术书和原声 CD，售价39.99美元。
黑胶版将在限定版的基础上，加入一个大型收纳盒、数张黑胶盘。该版本将只在 Square Enix 线上商店发售，售价69.99美元。
现在预订以上两个版本，都可以获得克洛伊和瑞秋的小人偶。

The boxed, Limited Edition of Life is Strange: Before the Storm is available from participating retailers and contains a physical artbook featuring art from Life is Strange: Before the Storm plus the licensed soundtrack on CD.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm is set in Arcadia Bay, three years before the events of the first game in the series. Players take on the role of a rebellious 16 year-old Chloe Price who forms an unlikely friendship with Rachel Amber; a beautiful and popular girl destined for success. When Rachel’s world is turned upside down by a family secret, it takes this new-found alliance to give each other the strength to overcome their demons.

《奇异人生》安卓版7月发售 支持手柄、带照相模式
SE正式宣布，《奇异人生》的安卓版将会在7月份上线，目前Google Play上的提前注册已经正式开放。
此前游戏已经发售了iOS的版本，不过这一次安卓版将会带来诸多独家福利，详情如下：

《超能队长的奇异冒险》是《奇妙人生》系列的新作，故事背景设定在与《奇妙人生 2》相同的时空，是为了引导玩家进入《奇妙人生 2》的游戏世界所制作的独立短篇故事，游玩时间约 2 个小时。 为了感谢粉丝的支持，以及让未曾接触过的玩家入门，因此采免费提供。 透过游玩的过程，玩家将能了解《奇妙人生 2》的故事设定。 就算没玩过《奇妙人生》的玩家也可以轻松上手。

游戏总监劳尔‧巴贝特（Raoul Barbet）表示，之所以会选择以 10 岁小男孩克里斯为主角，是因为克里斯是开发中新作《奇妙人生 2》的主要登场角色之一，所以制作团队决定把他抽出来专门描写，让玩家体验小男孩的异想世界， 唤起童年的回忆。 至于克里斯他妈妈究竟发生了什么事，以及在《奇妙人生 2》中他是否也是以这个年纪登场，目前还不方便透露，留待玩家自行揭露。
劳尔‧巴贝特透露，当初在设计克里斯这个角色的时候，前后草拟了很多版本，的确有参考制作团队成员自家的儿女，不过并没有特定的参照对象，只是融合了这个年纪的男孩子常见的特征来设计。 至于克里斯是否会像《奇妙人生》的主角马克辛（Maxine）那样具备超能力一事，劳尔‧巴贝特表示，克里斯会在自己的异想世界中随情境发挥各式各样的 “超级英雄” 能力。
作为游戏关键设定的「超能队长（Captain Spirit）」这个名称，主要的灵感发想有二，其一是制作团队当初在构思时，就很想取个「队长」开头的名字，加上受美国漫画家威尔·埃斯纳（Will Eisner）于1940 年创作的漫画《闪灵侠（The Spirit）》启发，所以最后才决定了这个名字。
之所以会采用免费方式提供，主要是因为这次的故事跟前后代有关联，所以特别以免费下载来回馈支持前作的玩家，同时让玩家能更没有阻碍地入手，藉以了解《奇妙人生》系列的特色与之后新作的走向。 而且因为是免费提供，制作时更能大胆放手尝试，不用担心销量之类的商业考虑。
由于《奇妙人生》系列先前一直都没有支持中文，对于这次《超能队长的奇异冒险》是否有计划支持中文一事，劳尔‧巴贝特表示，游戏预计会支持英文等主要语言，但中文的支持还不确定。 一旁的 SQUARE ENIX 官方人员补充表示《超能队长的奇异冒险》在亚洲会先推出英文版 ※。

Dontnod开发商成立十周年 发纪念视频回顾大作
Dontnod工作室位于巴黎，今年是他们成立第十个年头了。他们主要开发一些剧情向的游戏，其中最负盛名的当然是《奇异人生》。另外他们的作品还包括《勿忘我》，《吸血鬼》还有最近的《超能队长的奇异冒险》。
这部视频的主要内容也是回顾这些作品。Dontnod工作室在官方推特上表示：“感谢所有人的支持。没有你们，我们走不到今天。感谢我们的发行商卡普空（勿忘我），Focus Home（吸血鬼），万代南梦宫（双镜），Square Enix（奇异人生、超能队长的奇异冒险）。”
Dontnod工作室由Herve Bonin、Aleksi Briclot、Alain Damasio、Oskar Guilbert和Jean-Maxime Moris五位元老在2013年创办，同年推出了他们的处女作《勿忘我》，大获好评，还赢得了英国电影学院奖的最佳游戏奖。

由 Dontnod Entertainment 开发的《奇妙人生》系列最新作《奇妙人生 2（Life is Strange 2）》于德国科隆举办的欧洲游戏展 Gamescom 2018 开展前夕释出全新宣传影片，供玩家先睹为快，并预计在 2 018 年 9 月 27 日于 Xbox One、PlayStation 4 及 PC（Steam）平台发售《奇妙人生 2》第一章节（Episode 1 of Life is Strange 2）。
官方指出，本作的主要人物将会是 16 岁的尚恩（Sean）以及 9 岁的丹尼尔迪亚兹（Daniel Diaz）兄弟。 两兄弟原先在华盛顿州的西雅图过着平静的生活，然而，在一场悲剧发生后两人的生活也彻底发生变化。 在远离警方监禁的威胁后，尚恩决定带着弟弟前往家人的故乡墨西哥，寻求更好的生活。
然而旅程上总是充满危险，尚恩及丹尼尔将各自面临各式各样的挑战，展开一场考验兄弟情谊的冒险之旅。 当玩家扮演尚恩时，必须因应环境做出各种困难的选择，并且承受在行动后带来的种种后果。
此次《奇妙人生 2》将游戏的重点放在兄弟间的感情，玩家必须引导并且教育弟弟丹尼尔。 官方表示，和先前的《奇妙人生》系列作相同，玩家在《奇妙人生 2》中将同样面对到一系列困难的问题，并试着在道德困境下做出选择。 而根据玩家给予丹尼尔的指导以及做出的榜样，将会对他的未来产生重大影响。
当尚恩及丹尼尔前往墨西哥时，将会透过诸多全新设定在此地碰到一名全新角色。 此外，《奇妙人生 2》中的许多新功能及设定也将在下周揭晓，官方表示在《奇妙人生 2》投注相当大的心力，也希望《奇妙人生 2》能成为《奇妙人生》系列中迄今为止最好的作品。 而官方也邀请到法国作曲家强纳森·摩拉利（Jonathan Morali）与团队合作为游戏创作全新配乐。

Publisher Square Enix and developer Dontnod Entertainment have lifted the lid on Life is Strange 2 with the release of the first official trailer, information, and screenshots.

Discover a story of two brothers, 16-year old Sean and 9-year old Daniel Diaz, who have to flee their home in suburban Seattle after a tragic event that changes their lives forever. On the run from the police, Sean makes a difficult decision; to take his brother and go to Puerto Lobos, Mexico. Life on the road is dangerous and the brothers will be faced with tough decisions as they bravely undertake a journey that will test the bonds of brotherhood.
Everything is new in Life is Strange 2 – a new cast of characters, multiple new settings, new gameplay features and a brand new power for players to discover, making Life is Strange 2 the most ambitious project in series history.
“The release of Captain Spirit was a great moment for the team and we can’t wait to introduce the players to the new story and characters of Life is Strange 2,” said Raoul Barbet, co-creative director of Life is Strange 2 at Dontnod Entertainment. “We have worked hard with the original team to keep what I personally loved to craft in the first game: the mood, the cinematographic work and of course, the music.”
“After the exciting adventures of Max and Chloe, we are extremely happy that you will all soon meet Sean and Daniel Diaz, our new protagonists, and follow them on their journey,” said Michel Koch, co-creative director of Life is Strange 2 at Dontnod Entertainment. “We love diving back into the Life is Strange universe along with our lead writer, Jean-Luc Cano, to create our new story and characters”.
Dontnod Entertainment is back with an all-new story to tell, and have been hard at work on Life is Strange 2 since completing work on Life is Strange. Dontnod are set to continue their tradition of telling compelling stories with believable characters in a grounded setting, with a new tale that tackles relatable real-world themes like brotherhood, education and coming of age.
“We’re very excited to present Life is Strange 2, one of our most important releases of the year. After the overwhelming success of the original, we knew that crafting a sequel that is every bit as compelling and powerful as the first game would be a real challenge,” said Jon Brooke, VP of brand and European marketing at Square Enix External Studios. “We are confident that the talented team at Dontnod, who have been working closely with the Square Enix External Studios team, have truly outdone themselves.”

《奇异人生2》发售预告片公布
SQUARE ENIX发行的剧情互动冒险游戏《奇异人生2（Life Is Strange 2）》第一章节正式发售前一周公布了游戏的发售预告片，进一步展示了新作的剧情开头，以及两位主角肖恩和丹尼尔。
《奇异人生2》中，玩家将扮演肖恩，带领弟弟丹尼尔一起逃离西雅图；由于一名警察手枪走火误杀了两人的父亲，丹尼尔爆发了超能力导致了更多悲剧，二人成为通缉犯不得不逃亡。一路上他们将面对许多危险，而且他们对于自身的超能力还不能很好地控制因此也会产生意外。
《奇异人生2》将有五个章节，故事情节跨越一年，二位兄弟将逃往墨西哥，旅途漫长而缺少物资的他们该如何挨过漫长日夜？玩家可以选择去打劫别人，而且还要教育好弟弟丹尼尔，不知后边会发生怎样的故事。
《奇异人生2》第一章节将会在 9 月 27 日登陆PS4、Xbox One和PC。

Life is Strange 2 tells the new story of Sean and Daniel Diaz, two brothers from suburban Seattle.
After a tragic event forces the brothers on the run from the police, their relationship is tested by the dangers they face in a life on the road, and the manifestation of a supernatural power they don’t understand and can’t fully control.
The 5-episode season will follow Sean and Daniel over the course of a year as they make their way from Seattle to Mexico. Their journey is long and the brothers are woefully unprepared, as they have to set off with very little money and only the items Sean happens to have on him at the time.
They can steal to survive or take the high road and go without essential supplies for the trip. Either way, what are Sean’s actions teaching Daniel? Now totally responsible for his much younger brother, Sean begins to realize that his decisions will impact their lives forever…
The first episode of Life is Strange 2 will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 27. Life is Strange 2 will consist of five episodes.
