Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, the return of the highly revered action-fighting game series. Marvel and Capcom universes collide like never before as iconic characters team up for action-packed player-versus-player combat. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is currently in development and will simultaneously release on the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, and Windows PC worldwide in late 2017.

In addition to single player Arcade, Training, and Mission modes, a visually stunning and immersive cinematic Story Mode will put players at the center of both universes as they battle for survival against a sinister new threat.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is being built to highlight a combination of iconic and fan favorite characters and stages from both universes, including Captain Marvel and Iron Man from the Marvel side, and Ryu and Mega Man X from Capcom. In anticipation of the new game, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is being re-released for current generation systems; with the “PlayStation 4” digital download version available today and the Xbox One and Windows PC versions coming in March 2017. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for current-gen systems includes a new gallery mode, is packed with all previous DLC, and features an improved 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be available today for PlayStation 4 for $24.99 via the PlayStation Store, and in March 2017 for Xbox One and PC, Capcom announced.

Load up your quivers and hand cannons, as the new Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite gameplay trailer is here! Watch Ultron battle it out with iconic Marvel and Capcom characters, including Chun-Li, Hulk, Strider Hiryu, Thor, Chris Redfield and Hawkeye after the jump.
Ultron makes his first appearance in the Marvel vs. Capcom series and brings with him a sinister set of attacks to dispatch his foes. Most notable, is the ability to summon an endless army of drone reinforcements to aid him in battle. He can summon these both on the ground and in the air. The drones also come in two flavors, one stays back assisting Ultron with a beam to cover him with the second version charging forward and smashing his opponent with a powerful blast of energy.
The new gameplay trailer also features the introduction of the Space Stone. Using the Space Stone’s Infinity Surge will alter your opponent, dragging them towards you. Activating the Space Stone’s Infinity Storm will encase your opponent inside a prism for a short period of time, giving you the space to plan your next attack more easily.
The other Marvel and Capcom fighters have also powered up since their last battle, including additional special and super attacks to help them in their fight against Ultron Sigma. Hulk is armed with his new Gamma Crush attack that creates a vicious volcano and Strider Hiryu’s new air super gives him the ability to slash his opponents from anywhere on the screen.
For those looking for Rocket Raccoon, never fear, we’ll be releasing more on him soon and showing off his arsenal of moves at a later date.

This experience taught him to get creative and utilize objects in his surroundings as deadly weapons. With Frank West being a professional photographer, it only makes sense for him to take a steady shot while in action with his new tripod camera. He can also wear the patented Servbot helmet, letting him fly through projectiles and extend his combos.
The bite from a radioactive spider granted Peter Parker arachnid-like powers. After losing his beloved Uncle Ben to a thief he chose not to stop, Peter learned that with great power there must also come great responsibility, and vowed to use his incredible abilities to protect the city as the Amazing Spider-Man! Between his huge arsenal of web-based attacks and new Level 3 hyper combo, he has no problem keeping his opponents off guard.
Gamora
The last of her race, Gamora was taken in by Thanos and raised as a ruthless assassin. However, she turned on her adoptive father and now uses her skills to help those who cannot help themselves. Known as the “Most Dangerous Woman in the Universe,” Gamora travels with the Guardians of the Galaxy, wielding a fearsome and deadly arsenal. Most notably, her sword Godslayer, which is capable of cutting through the most durable substances in the universe.
The Mind Stone is the fifth announced Infinity Stone for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. This stone brings a command grab type of attack to its wielder in the air and on the ground. Upon landing a successful Infinity Surge attack, the opponent will fall to the ground and wake up in a daze, giving the wielder plenty of time to set up their next attack. Activating the Infinity Storm gives players a boost in hyper gauge regeneration. Hyper gauge will naturally increase without performing any additional actions, letting players build up their powerful super attacks much faster.

Capcom Releases New Story Trailer for Marvel vs. capcom: infinite; Confirms Modes and Characters
Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today released an all-new cinematic trailer that highlights never-before-seen elements of the story mode experience featured in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. Sharpen your claws and upgrade your circuits! The gameplay trailer for Black Panther and Sigma has arrived for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite! Both characters join the fight with Monster Hunter on October 17 along with each of their premium costumes. All three will also be playable at New York Comic Con 2017!
When his father was murdered, T’Challa stepped forward to earn the mantle of the Black Panther, ruler of the technologically-advanced African nation of Wakanda. With his genius intellect, unrivaled combat expertise, and strong sense of justice, he rules over the newly-formed “Valkanda” and serves as its guild master now that his kingdom has merged with Val Habar, a desert town known for its monster hunters.
Black Panther is a melee fighter who utilizes quick slashes with his claws to win the fight. T’Challa can also cling to walls as well as jump from one to another in a matter of moments, allowing him to escape pressure, but to also pounce on an opponent from multiple angles.
Sigma was the first and most powerful reploid created by reverse-engineering X. Sigma once protected humanity against Mavericks (reploids who malfunctioned and became a threat to humanity) until the fateful day when Zero’s stasis pod was unearthed. Zero awakened in an out-of-control state, infected with a mysterious virus, but Sigma did not. Corrupted, Sigma became the instigator of numerous Maverick uprisings. Now Sigma and his virus are one with Ultron Sigma, a being whose hatred towards humanity is limitless.
Using his energy sword, Sigma is able to control the battle by opening up dimensional rifts that linger around the screen, hindering his opponent’s movement options. Armed with a command grab and a counter teleport, he has options to deal with overly aggressive teams that may try to take advantage of his slower but imposing move set.
Everyone who obtained the 2017 Character Pass will automatically get Black Panther, Sigma, Monster Hunter, Winter Soldier, Black Widow, and Venom when they become available. You can also purchase these characters separately for $7.99 each, which includes their premium costumes as seen above.

Young soldier Bucky Barnes fought alongside his best friend Captain America during World War II. Presumed dead after a dangerous mission ended in tragedy, he was captured by enemy forces and secretly brainwashed into becoming a deadly assassin known as the Winter Soldier. Bucky, now free from his captors, is once again ready to fight for the good of humanity.
As a skilled assassin, Winter Soldier has various ways to debilitate opponents and excels at ground combat. Using his cybernetic arm, he can activate Metal Shield, which provides him with enough armor to not only ignore hits, but to walk away unscathed. Though his move set is limited with Metal Shield active, the potential for devastating punishes is massive.
Trained extensively in the art of combat and espionage and outfitted with state-of-the-art tech, Natasha Romanova is the super spy known as Black Widow. The next batch of Premium Costumes for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will be available on December 5 along with new characters Venom, Winter Soldier, and Black Widow! You can purchase the costumes in two different themed packs: Cosmic Crusaders and Stone Seekers. Gather intel by seeing these new Premium Costumes in action in the gameplay trailers below!
Cosmic Crusaders Costume Pack - Fighting evil across the universe isn’t an easy task, but these characters have the guts, power, and determination to win. Contains Premium Costumes for Rocket Raccoon, Gamora, Nova, X, Zero, and Strider.
