Hi everyone
I come from an English speaking family
and I can help you to improve your daily basic English speaking
It's not necessary to come in & just learn
we can talk about anything^^
hoping to find another person like me^^

I'm sorry if I didn't reply or reply late to your post
I will try my best to reply

For people who had spoke out their thought
Yes I admit I'm not the best person to "teach" people to speak as I myself is also still a student
And I believe that I wrote "learn",not "teach"
You all can come and help me as I don't really have much time reply all the post^^

p/s: please forgive me if I type wrong as I have to type in a rush(I know It's not a excuse==)

erm....if not mistaken the word start with aeiou should use "an" not "a"..=)

hello, nice to meet you. I'm not from english speaking family but I often use english speaking to communicate with my business mates. I can speak but in term for writing skills, I have lot grammatical error as well as vocabulary. Perhaps you can correct me if I'm wrong

2. Want or one ? How to differentiate both of these ?
E.g : The book is my one / The book is my want ??? ==

If you'll allow me, I would like to say something about your questions.
In my very humble opinion, it's just not proper to add the word "what" or "one" at the end of a sentence, either in spoken or written english. I'm not very sure, but I think this is the influence of the singlish or manglish or whatever you call it. It sounds silly when you add these words.

it shud b "a English xxx" but not "an English xxx"

My opinion :

I dont really think that English spoken family is necessary in English learning process

As long as you are willing to learn, you deserve the chance to speak fluently in English

No doubt, i don't really speak in good English, but then i wish to learn more, explore more, widen my knowledge as well

I do agree that, a thousand miles journey begins with a single step

It is so damn obvious that there is no free lunch in the world, every success is the result of hard work

Not everyone's english is bad, just cause this is a chinese forum. And your not simply the best to "teach" others how to speak properly.
Personally , i think its not really a big deal whether u're from an english spoken family or not, but i am~ and i guess it does make learning "perfect english" is alot easier. but you're all still young, converse with your friends or family more in english to improve, story books do help, but its more important talking to other people first.

My mum still sent me to cambridge despite scoring an A for every single English paper.
But English is really important nowadays, can't imagine anyone living without english.

I think only can learn about grammar or writing or something.

One of my friends also come from a english speaking family, but her writing also not very well. It really doesn't matter whether you come from a english speaking family or not.

oh no, i took Cambridge english lessons at the tutor outlet when i was 12, it was quite pricey though, about Rm200 a month? But anyway, im really worried about scoring an A for my English paper in SPM for the Cambridge marking scheme, it would be horrible if i cant get an additional A for that. haha~ oh well. im 17 this year, planning to go to Melbourne for studies after my SPM this year~

Same case

I dont really worry about the local marking scheme as it is not as strict as the Cambridge marking scheme

I went for only ordinary English Speaking Lessons, my family couldnt afford for Cambridge English Lessons, it is too costly for our family

It is seriously terrible and horrible if we cant pass with flying colors in English paper under Cambridge marking scheme since we put lot of effort into english learning..

Due to the questions you asked,it's actually the mistakes that always happen between a conversation of the youth now.
It's already become a trend perhaps?easy to understand I guess.
Somehow,in grammar, we should actually use proper language
For example: The book is mine.
Instead of using ' The book is my one'

a lot of grammar mistakes ,haiz i still need to write thesis anymore with my poor english level
i dont think i can do it well ,hoping at least i get "pass" on my thesis ...

I'm agree with few posts above me.
Forum just only able to help you out with your vocabulary and grammar (sounds like grandma..LOL).
So, feel free to post out any questions regarding to it. I'm believe people here willing to help you.
Storybook doesn't really help you if you don't have the interest in it. Read the one you are interested.
As for speaking, you need to speak oftenly with people. Keep practice~

Oh! By the way, I don't believe practice will make you perfect but it will get you far near perfect or at least to the level that you want.
