Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal announce Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Eidos-Montréal a part of Square Enix Europe and the award-winning studio behind the critically acclaimed Deus Ex: Human Revolution, today announced that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the next chapter in the legendary Deus Ex franchise, is in development for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC.
“For 15 years, Deus Ex has been a point of conversation across the games industry and beyond, whether the topic is the franchise’s unique gameplay or topical narrative focused on advanced biotechnology and human augmentation,” said David Anfossi, Head of Studio, Eidos-Montréal. “What began with Deus Ex: Human Revolution goes to a whole new level in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, diving even deeper into this discussion and, in turn, offering fans an all-encompassing experience, one which will challenge their skills as players and emphasize decision-making based on real world topics.”
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided takes place in 2029, two years after the events of Human Revolution and the infamous ‘Aug Incident’ in Panchaea that resulted in the death of millions at the hands of those who had installed augmentations. This event has created a huge divide between those who have augmentations, and those who do not. Amongst this emotional turmoil are various factions looking to manipulate the public by twisting public opinion of augmentation to further their own agenda and hide the truth of what really happened.
As the social and political chaos reaches boiling point, super-augmented anti-terrorist agent Adam Jensen re-enters the fray. Our game is set in 2029, in a world where mechanically augmented humans have been deemed outcasts, seen as a danger for the rest of society. Many of them are feared and branded as terrorists. The world is in a constant state of chaos and tension, as the augmented population try to resist this segregation. We call our setting the Mechanical Apartheid.
As you’ve seen in our trailer, Adam Jensen is now equipped with an all-new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations: he represents the human 2.0. These new possibilities will support even more the multi-path and multi-solution design of Deus Ex. You can play the game the way you want: stealthy, full combat, a mix of both, aggressive but non-lethal and more – we will never impose a specific play style on you. It’s all about being creative with the tools you have at your disposal!

Square Enix also revealed “Augment Your Pre-Order” - the channel wide pre-order campaign for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, in which increasing tiers of pre-order bonuses will be unlocked as more copies of the game are reserved, worldwide in select countries. The campaign will give fans an opportunity to collectively expand and enhance their own customized Day One Edition of the newest entry in the Deus Ex franchise. In the spirit of emphasizing player choice, fans will be able to choose which pre-order bonuses they will receive from each unlocked tier. In addition the fans will have the opportunity to shift the official release date early by 4 days.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided pre-order program has been cancelled
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Pre-Order Program To Be Modified
Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal today announced that the Augment Your Pre-Order program for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, will be revised to better meet the expectations of the Deus Ex community. Initially conceived as a reward to players by allowing them to choose their own content (mirroring one of Deus Ex’s core gameplay pillars), the promotion was negatively viewed by the community. Having watched, read, and listened to feedback, Square Enix and Eidos- Montréal will modify the program to remove pre-order tiers.
“We really understand and appreciate the passion for Deus Ex that the fans have shown here,” said David Anfossi, Studio Head at Eidos-Montréal. “Know that all of us, both at Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal, share that passion for this franchise.”
A vast majority of the negative feedback received arose from the tiers, and the requirement of specific pre-order numbers to unlock them. Therefore, taking into account the feedback from fans, the pre-order tiers have been removed, and all of the associated content with the program will now be made available for free to anyone who pre-orders or purchases a Day 1 edition of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Additionally, the release date will no longer be changed in accordance to pre-order numbers, and everyone will gain access to the game on February 23rd, 2016.
Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal sincerely thank the community for the love and dedication they have shown for the Deus Ex franchise.

Announcing ’Revision’ for the original Deus Ex
Today Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal continue to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the release of the original Deus Ex by authorizing a fan-created mod for the first Deus Ex game originally released in 2000. Called ‘Revision’, the mod by Caustic Creative overhauls the environments and soundtrack of the original Deus Ex and is available to download for free today on Steam.
“Where other projects fill in detail around the edges of the game by tuning gameplay mechanics or improving textures, we focus on the visceral core of the Deus Ex experience, bringing new level design, aesthetic direction and world-building detail,” said John French, Creative Director, Caustic Creative.
“One of the reasons that Deus Ex has been so popular for 15 years is the way in which the gaming community has embraced the ground-breaking gameplay and a narrative that looks to the future but is inspired by real-world events,” said David Anfossi, Head of Studio, Eidos-Montréal. “‘Revision’ from Caustic Creative is a fantastic way for fans new and old to experience the original Deus Ex in a whole new way before Deus Ex: Mankind Divided raises the bar once again.”
‘Revision’ now available to download (Not live yet) to download for the original Deus Ex on Steam for Windows PC.
Square Enix has also confirmed that Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition and Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut are available at an 80% discount as part of the Steam Stealth Sale, running October 13th to 16th.

Square Enix Montréal is designing a smart, game-changing new feature for the GO series that will allow players to expand and customize their Deus Ex GO experience: the puzzle maker. Expected to launch after the initial release, the puzzle maker will allow players to create challenging levels to share with friends. In the meantime, the team will regularly bring new content to the game dynamically through the Live Puzzles module.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Season Pass Content Detailed
Today, Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal announced the content of the season pass of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the latest instalment in the Deus Ex seires.
The Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Season Pass, which is composed of Narrative DLCs and in-game items, is loaded with content that will help to further flesh out the lore of the Deus Ex Universe. The Season Pass contains:
Story missions
• System Rift – Available this fall.
• A Criminal Past – Available Early 2017
In-Game Items – All available on August 23
• Assault Pack - Prepare to advance and assault the enemy with a custom skinned Battle Rifle, the Chaff Augmentation, one pack of regular Battle Rifle ammo, one pack of armor piercing Battle Rifle ammo, 2 Frag Grenades, and 2 EMP Grenades.
• Tactical Pack - Using distance to your advantage, eliminate your targets silently with a custom skinned Tranquilizer Rifle, the Micro Assembler Augmentation, one pack of tranquilizer ammo, 3 Smoke Grenades, and 2 Gas Grenades.
• 4 Praxis Kits – These additional Praxis Kits will allow you to further develop the augmentations of your choosing, moving you one step closer to unlocking Adam’s full potential.
• 5000 Credits – Bolster your wallet with additional credits, providing you with extra spending money to purchase Praxis Kits, ammo, weapons, or anything else you may find at the shops in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
• 1000 Crafting Parts – Use crafting parts to craft upgrades, such as increased damage and accuracy, for any weapon in your inventory.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided 'System Rift' Story DLC Coming September 23
《黑客入侵：人类革命》首个故事DLC发售日公开

Franl Pritchard Returns in System Rift, The First Story DLC for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Today, Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal announced that Frank Pritchard, the iconic Deus Ex character, will return in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift, the first Story DLC for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
In Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift, you will re-unite with Frank Pritchard, Adam’s friend and former colleague at Sarif Industries, and assist him in hunting down information on the mysterious Santeau Group. Desperate to get more information, Pritchard targets one of the most secure data banks ever created – the Palisade Blade. In agreeing to help, Adam may also be able to uncover hints as to who the illuminati really are.
Andreas Apergis, the actor behind Frank Pritchard, will join Elias Toufexis and Sascha Dikiciyan for a panel at PAX West tomorrow. Eidos-Montréal Presents: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will take place at the Hydra Theater on Saturday, September 3rd at 3:00PM. They will discuss the upcoming DLC and the return of Pritchard to Deus Ex.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift will be available on September 23rd on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and online stores for $11.99 and in the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Season Pass, which is composed of Narrative DLCs and in-game items. Go Undercover as Adam Jensen in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – A Criminal Past
Today, Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal announced that Adam Jensen is back in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – A Criminal Past, along with both an old acquaintance in Delara Auzenne, and new characters. The second Story DLC will provide players with more insight into the lore of the Deus Ex Universe, allowing them to experience one of Adam Jensen’s first missions for TF29, set some time before the events of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
In Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – A Criminal Past, Jensen is transferred deep into a hostile, high-security prison for augmented felons. His mission: track down and retrieve sensitive information from a fellow undercover agent who has gone dark. Success will help the fight against terror around the world, but Jensen will need to confront a darker side to his role before the day is done.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – A Criminal Past will be available on the 23rd of February on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and online stores. It will also be available in the Deus Ex: Makind Divided Season Pass, which is compossed of narrative DLCs and in-game items. More details on the contents of the season pass can be found here.
