FLAVOUR ART COMPETITION
17th Jan 2015 (Sat), 7.30am - 11.30am
Venue: Convention Hall B12, UTM Skudai
Aim:
To strengthen their skills in formulating creative ideas in arts by using different tools, processes and media.
Objectives:
To provide opportunities for the participants to express their feelings and emotions through arts.
To test the skills of the participants to fulfill the themes given based on their understanding, creative and critical thinking.
To make full use of the materials provided within the time constraints in producing a masterpiece of art.
MANGROVE SEEDLING
17th Jan 2015 (Sat), 11.30am - 6.00pm
Venue: Tanjung Piai, Pontian
Aim:
To empower community and increase capacity of national institutions in the mangrove rehabilitation and management to increase resilience to the impacts of climate change.
Objectives:
To mitigate climate change (carbon sequestration through reforestation and forest preservation) and adapt to its effects (sea defence, biodiversity).
ETHNOBOTANY EXHIBITION
17th &18th Jan 2014 (Sat & Sun), 8.00am - 6.00pm
Venue: Convention Hall B12, UTM Skudai
Aim:
To promote and display ethnobotanical plants and to trigger the sense of awareness of healthy lifestyle.
Objectives:
To exhibit and promote the ethnobotanical plants that has special values to human kind.
To guide and give awareness of consuming foods that contributes to a healthy living.
To expose on the uses of plant-based food that are used in daily routine.
FORUM & WORKSHOP
18th Jan 2014 (Sun), 8.00am - 6.00pm
Venue: Convention Hall B12
Aim:
To give an overview on the wide concept of "flavour" based on the aspects of landscape architecture.
Objectives:
To introduce the relationship of plant-based food and landscape architecture through professional talks.
To share experience and knowledge based on individual expertise or profession related with ethnobotanical or herbal plants.
To encourage the "flavour" of healthy living related with organic food consumption.
