Ubisoft Will Make Players Discover Their Wild Side with Far Cry 4’s New Experiential Website

Today, Ubisoft announced the launch of Far Cry 4’s What are you made of? digital platform, an experiential website designed to test the player’s reactions in a world full of unpredictability. It offers a cinematic and immersive experience that will give each user a flavour of the wild and menacing world of Far Cry 4.

Players will have to go through 4 different rites of passage:

• A deadly face-to-face encounter with « An eye for an eye »
• An impenetrable mind maze with « Rabbit hole »
• A hypnotic trance with « Mind Blossom »
• A blindfolded sound chase with « Escape »

Each rite, to be released on a weekly basis, is composed of interactive films in which the user has only a few seconds to make a decision and get out of the extreme situation they is trapped in. Each choice they makes triggers another sequence of events, pushing the user to make another choice and so on and so forth...

In total, the digital platform can create up to 42 million different routes and it would require up to 100 days to explore all these different combinations.

At the end of each rite, the user’s choices are analysed with a specific algorithm that determines their personality and grants them access to exclusive content on Far Cry 4 via Uplay.

《极地战嚎 4》宣布竣工！多人连线模式预告影片同步公开

        Ubisoft 在昨日（10 月31 日）正式宣布将于11 月18 日推出的PS4 / PS3 / Xbox One / Xbox 360 / PC 动作冒险游戏《极地战嚎4》已顺利完成开发，官方中文频道也在今天（11 月1 日）公布多人连线的最新预告片「Kyrat 之战」！

      在这个多人连线的介绍中，玩家可以选择两股势力的其一。
        一个是大反派「贝根‧明」的菁英护卫、同时也是Kyrat 地区的最令人所畏惧的古代战士「罗刹」（Rakshasa）；另一个是选择当拥有各式现代军火武器载具的叛军「黄金之路」（Golden Path）。

        「罗刹」不但可以召唤动物、骑乘大象冲入战场，还能在丛林中使身影消失，也能使用传统武器与改造奇特弓箭「群蜂箭」与「顺移箭」。
        「黄金之路」则以现代科技为主，可以使用现代枪械、车辆等装备，也能利用钟楼发现远方的敌人。

        玩家将从这两个在Kyrat 交火的势力中选择效力的对象，以占领前哨站、防止洗脑文宣散布、争夺恶魔面具等方式与其他玩家展开厮杀！

        在《极地战嚎4》中，玩家将扮演艾杰．格尔（Ajay Ghale）重返自己的家乡Kyrat、在此见证疯狂的大象践踏敌军营地并与当地的独裁者「贝根‧明」相遇。在艾杰．格尔了解发生在这个国家的种种事情后，他决定追随双亲的脚步，投身于内战之中，左右这个国家的命运──

Clear your calendar. Call a few of your best buds. And steel yourself to survive in the audaciously beautiful country of Kyrat. Far Cry 4 has officially gone gold and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 18.

In Far Cry 4, players will become Ajay Ghale, a man born in Kyrat but raised in the United States. Ajay returns to the fictional Himalayan nation for personal reasons, only to become embroiled in a bloody civil war. With Kyrat, Far Cry 4 is set to deliver the franchise’s most ambitious world yet – a diverse region with a wide array of ecosystems and a richly realized cast of characters.

And then there’s co-op. Take one of the best parts of Far Cry – the open-world gameplay in which every second delivers a new story – and then bring in a friend. While you can still enjoy the entire experience solo, you now have “lots and lots of opportunities where it will be twice as much fun or twice as interesting or twice as funny with another person,” says Creative Director Alex Hutchinson.

Far Cry 4 is a major leap forward for the franchise. The story is fully integrated into the overall experience, with your choices making a real difference in a civil war that’s roiling Kyrat. The open-world is packed with surprises. The addition of open-world co-op allows gamers to double their fun in new and creative ways. And the PvP delivers a true Far Cry experience this time: pitting the rebel Golden Path against the mythical warriors of the Rakshasa, the asymmetrical competitive multiplayer is set on 10 maps based on familiar Kyrati locations, and uses animals (including elephants) and vehicles in 5v5 matchups across 3 distinct modes.

“When I look back at Far Cry 4’s development, I’m amazed at what the team pulled off,” says Executive Producer Dan Hay. “We added verticality. We gave the player the ability to fly. We gave them the ability to fly in co-op. We gave them the ability to fly and have the other player down on the ground running around while they’re flying. We made the number of encounters way higher. The encounters are different, and the animals are different. The characters are unique, and your friends will have subtly different experiences with the story. I’m proud of both the quality and the sheer volume in Far Cry 4.”

With so much to see and so much to do, Far Cry 4 is set to deliver even more of what fans crave from this open-world franchise. “After the critical and commercial success of the previous game, Far Cry is now one of Ubisoft’s top brands,” says Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing Tony Key. “Far Cry 4 will raise the bar for the series yet again.”

　　《孤岛惊魂4》的PVP模式细节已经放出，PVP模式将被称为“Kyrat之战”，玩家将扮演Rakshasa或者是黄金之路的一员与对手进行殊死搏斗。Rakshasa与黄金之路各有其独特的战斗技巧，Rakshasa可以召唤野生动物攻击，骑乘战象，隐身以及瞬移。黄金之路则可以使用火箭筒，迫击炮，自动步枪等现代武器进行进攻。

　　多人模式将有以下特性，5V5战斗，每局游戏都将有数回合，每局游戏时长大约20分钟，将会有10张多人对战地图，共有三种多人对战模式：

　　1.据点战——黄金之路要在区域中建立据点，而Rakshasa一方则要阻止黄金之路。

　　2.宣传战——黄金之路要摧毁掉三个由Rakshasa保卫的Pagan Min的宣传设施。

　　3：恶魔面具——两方队伍都要尽快的找到恶魔面具并把它带回自己主基地。

　　《孤岛惊魂4》将于2014年11月18日登陆XBOX ONE、PS4、XBOX 360、PS3以及PC平台。

Join the Struggle for Kyrat in Far Cry 4's All-New PVP Mode

In “Battles of Kyrat”, the Far Cry 4 world is shown in a completely different way. The player’s battles take on the form of a re-telling of a long-past war that Pagan Min’s elite guard, the Rakshasa, fought against the Golden Path rebellion. Each faction has their own unique set of weapons and skills and players will have to adapt to their strengths and weaknesses while making their own progress within this multiplayer mode.

The Rakshasa are the mythical warriors of Kyrat with strong ties to their natural surroundings. They can call upon animals to help in both defending and attacking positions. The Rakshasa only use traditional weapons, specifically the bow, but are capable of crafting multiple alterations to their weapons. On the other hand, the Golden Path is all about its arsenal: guns, vehicles and tech-enhanced capabilities. They have access to a variety of weapon types, including assault rifles, shotguns, and multiple explosives. Finally, the Golden Path has access to bell towers, allowing them to spot the hidden enemy from far away.

The PvP mode consists of

• 5v5 round-based matches.

• Asymmetrical gameplay where the players take on each faction. The team with the best overall performance on both wins the match.

• 20 minutes average match length.

• 10 maps at launch.

• 3 modes:

- Outpost - the Golden Path works to establish an outpost in the region while the Rakshasa has to get rid of them and secure the outpost for Pagan Min.

- Propaganda - the Golden Path has to destroy three Pagan Min installations while the Rakshasa protects them.

- Demon Mask - both sides have to find the mask and return it to their home base.

In Far Cry 4 players will experience the most expansive and immersive Far Cry ever, in an entirely new, massive open-world. Players will find themselves in Kyrat, a breath-taking, perilous and wild region of the Himalayas struggling under the regime of a despotic self-appointed king. Using a vast array of weapons, vehicles and animals, players will write their own story across an exotic open-world landscape. Developed by Ubisoft Montréal in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios, Far Cry 4 will be available worldwide on November 18 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC.
