Resident Evil Revelations 2 Available Episodically Beginning Today!

Capcom today confirmed that the episodic serial thriller Resident Evil Revelations 2 releases digitally across North America beginning today, with Episode 1 available now on PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation 3. On February 25, Episode 1 will release on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and on Steam.

The beginning of the Resident Evil Revelations 2 tale sees fan favorite Claire Redfield make a dramatic return. Survivor of the Raccoon City incident depicted in previous Resident Evil games, Claire now works for the anti-bioterrorism organization Terra Save. She and Moira Burton are attending a company party for Terra Save when unknown armed forces storm the office, capture Claire and Moira and take them to a dark and abandoned detention facility on a mysterious island. Headed for the remote island in search of his missing daughter, Barry Burton meets brand new character Natalia Korda, a little girl who has a strange power that allows her to sense enemies and hidden items. Using this skill alongside Barry’s proven combat abilities, players will need to alternate between the two to survive the mysterious island and find Moira. With terrifying enemies waiting around every dark corner, players will need to use their ammo and weapon supply wisely, in classic survival horror style.

Evolving the episodic chapter set-up of the original Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil Revelations 2 is releasing as a weekly series of episodic downloads beginning today. A digital download option of the Complete Season is also available to ensure fans can get each episode as it rolls out, and a retail disc version will arrive on March 17, 2015 when the final episode releases. Each episode in Resident Evil Revelations 2 includes Raid mode content and two full playable scenarios focused on the Claire and Moira storyline as well as the Barry and Natalia campaign.

The Complete Season is available to purchase for $24.99/￡19.99/Eur 24.99 and includes the following:

• All four main episodes plus:
- Two additional spin-off episodes that focus on telling the side stories of each of the two new Resident Evil characters: Moira Burton and Natalia Korda
- Additional Raid mode character: Hunk

A full retail box set will be available March 17, 2015 across North America for $39.99 and will feature all of the below content:

• All Complete Season content:
- All four main episodes
- Two additional spin-off episodes that focus on telling the side stories of each of the two new Resident Evil characters: Moira Burton and Natalia Korda
- Additional Raid mode character: Hunk

Plus:

- Additional Raid mode character: Albert Wesker
- Four alternative costumes (one for each of the main characters): Claire, Moira, Barry and Natalia

When we last saw Claire and Moira, they had just reached a radio tower and sent a signal for help. Meanwhile, Barry and Natalia arrive on the island in search of the duo but realize... well, that Moira's call was months ago and Natalia seems to think she's already dead. That brings us to Episode 2, which continues both parties' adventure through the Overseer's deadly island complex.

Claire and Moira will meet other survivors, while Barry and Natalia will make a profound discovery. Play Episode 2 to see for yourself!

If you've purchased the Complete Season, you'll be able to download Episode 2 starting Tuesday afternoon / early evening (PST) on PS3, PS4 and Xbox One. Steam players should see the episode go live around 9-10pm PST, and Xbox 360 owners should be able to download very early Wednesday morning (PST).

If you bought Episode 1 on its own, you're still able to pick up the Season Pass for just $20 within the in-game store and get E2~4, two bonus episodes and Hunk for Raid Mode.

The disc version launches on March 17 (NA) and March 20 (EU).
