Irony Curtain to Lift the Veil on Satire, Totalitarianism in 2019
Irony Curtain, the hilarious satirical point and click adventure set in a totalitarian communist country, tears down walls and arrives on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC when Artifex Mundi releases their forthcoming title in 2019.
“Our glorious country of Matryoshka wishes to extend an invitation to the West and allow them to witness the glory of communism first-hand. Visitors shall be the first outsiders to bask in the light of The Leader, who is the embodiment of all that is good and not the “demon, blood-drunk butcher, or godless dictator” non-believers would have you fear.
We welcome them to explore our beautiful country and political realm by solving puzzles and minigames to understand the depth of corruption surrounding the magnanimity of our fearless leader. This sponsored visit includes a meeting with our Minister of Propaganda Communication, Vlad. The Minister’s job is completely unnecessary, but our country has zero tolerance for unemployment because it shows the West that we are stronger than them.
While our guests aren’t busy submitting themselves to unnecessary strip-searches, they will try to finagle their way through tricky scenarios using creative combinations of items. Our gorgeous, colorful hand-drawn country ensures that foreign eyes will always bask in the glory of our people and natural splendor. It is our hope that these beautiful images draw their eyes away from our impoverished wealthy citizens so they do not try to steal our secrets.”

Irony Curtain will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC 2019. To learn more about the product, please visit Irony Curtain website or add the game to Steam Wishlist.

CCP Games developing new games with Unreal Engine 4
CCP Games Developing Highly Anticipated New Games Exclusively with Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4
CCP games, the company behind the deep and uniquely player-driven spaceship MMO game EVE Online, has confirmed that Unreal Engine 4 is the exclusive development tool for all of CCP Games’ currently unannounced projects. CCP’s commitment to Unreal stems from the engine’s stability, quick prototyping and the solid cross-platform support for both established and new hardware.
CCP’s development teams globally are taking advantage of the powerful and easy-to-use functionality of UE4, from fluid integration of third-party systems with plug-ins and modules to improved networking and cross-platform support. CCP’s game developers have jumped on board the exclusive use of UE4, specifically its Unreal Editor that leads the way in terms of lighting and rendering solutions, world composition, landscape sculpting and Blueprint prototyping.
“Although CCP Games has used versions of Unreal Engine for more than 10 years on various projects, Unreal Engine 4.20 has massive improvements,” said Bing Xi, Development Director at CCP Shanghai. “UE4’s latest enhancements, like the new ProxyLOD mesh reduction tool and the new Niagara VFX editor are among the many features that make game development a more efficient process.”
Using Unreal Engine 4 in the development of all their upcoming new games allows CCP‘s studios to plan for the future by cultivating a shared in-house knowledge of the engine. When coupled with the engine‘s ability to ease the transition of games to different platforms, UE4 enables CCP to stay platform-relevant earlier and for longer.
“Working with Epic Games using their engine source code, which is open to all Unreal developers, is great for both AAA and indie studios alike, thanks to the huge amount of support options available,” said James Dobrowski, Executive Producer on the unannounced action-MMO being created at CCP London. “UE4‘s Blueprints system allows us to prototype and iterate quickly, and its world-class AAA pipelines allow us to focus on crafting great gameplay and stunningly beautiful worlds.”
CCP Games is one of many major players in the industry whose development teams trust Epic Games’ UE4, from traditional gaming companies including Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony, to newer technology and experience makers, such as Magic Leap and Oculus.
“Considering that Epic uses its own engine to develop games like Fortnite is a great example of the trust they have in their own product,” said Snorri árnason, Project Nova‘s Game Director at CCP Reykjavik. “The product’s push for cinematic rendering quality is something that we will aim to implement into our future projects.”
Stay tuned for new games from CCP developed exclusively using UE4. More info on CCP‘s announcements can be found via ccpgames.com/news.

Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
TerraTech is an open-world, sandbox adventure game, where you design and build your own creations through a mix of crafting, combat and discovery. Explore a hostile alien landscape, or design with creative freedom. The choice is yours.
Start your career as an Intergalactic miner on a randomly generated infinite world in search of profit and glory in Campaign, sit back and build to your hearts content in Creative mode or pit your Techs against the clock and dare to run the Gauntlet Challenge. There are many game modes available in TerraTech to stretch your Tech building imagination to the limits!
Story
In the distant future, Earth’s natural resources have been depleted, and as a resource-gathering prospector it’s your job to travel to alien planets and scour them for valuable materials. But you are not alone! Rival prospectors litter the landscapes of these new worlds, and will fight to protect what’s theirs, and invade to take what’s yours. To make your mark, you will need to be cunning and creative.
Construction
Using the building blocks, guns, wheels, and wings from several Mining Corporations, you can build varied Techs to suit every purpose. Be it powerful armoured combat vehicles, unstoppable resource gathering machines, sprawling resource processing bases or a hybrid of all three – creativity is your key to exo-planetary success.
Exploration
The worlds in TerraTech are procedurally generated and infinite, so there are always new lands to discover and more resources to find. Treacherous mountain ranges, luscious grasslands and huge deserts are among the biomes you will encounter. More will be added as development progresses.
Combat
The intergalactic mining industry is a profitable one, but you are not the only miner in search for new worlds to exploit. Defending yourself from rival miners will take time, resources and skill, with success leading to new territory and new lands. All equipable blocks and items can be damaged or destroyed, so ensuring you are sufficiently armed and ready for battle is a key element of both survival and prosperity in TerraTech. Get out there and show them who’s boss!
Crafting
By gathering and processing natural resources, players are able to construct storage, refining and construction bases in order to craft new blocks in the game. Like the look of that Venture Hail Fire Rifle that just tore your vehicle apart? Go prospecting for the needed resources, and craft a couple for yourself in the shiny new Venture fabricator which you just aquired, by beating their time trial challenge in the nearby mountains.
Corporations
All exo-planetary miners buy parts from the established Mining Corporations, which each have their own specific brand of mining technology. Get the job done with GSO, zoom around with high-performance recon specialists Venture, strip-mine to the max with the heavy-duty GeoCorp or act with miltary efficiency utilizing the stealth focussed Hawkeye. New Corporations we’re aiming to add to the game include deranged experimental scientists Reticule Research, technological superiority giants Better Future and the hive-mind AI swarms of LEGION. Completing missions and discovering blocks for each Corp will improve your standing with them, and gain access to the more sought-after components in their arsenal.
