Lionhead前员工表示该工作室还有未公布项目

  Lionhead工作室现在负责《神鬼寓言:传说》的开发,但是他们真的只在做这一款游戏吗?从Lionhead前工作人员那里得知Lionhead还有一个mini-game项目在进行,该工作人员明确表示他制作的游戏绝不是《神鬼寓言》系列的更加像Pub Games那种类型的游戏。

Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse - Episode One Coming December December 4



Broken Sword 5 - The Serpent's Curse: Episode One to release December 4th 2013

Revolution Software has today confirmed that Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse will release worldwide for PC on December 4th. In addition, the developer has revealed that this Broken Sword adventure will, unlike any before, run over two thrilling episodes, concluding in January 2014.

The game set crowdfunding records for a UK-developed game back in September 2012, when it raised $850,000 from 15,000 backers on Kickstarter. Those that pledged to receive a PC, Mac or Linux copy of the game will get each episode as it become available.

The first episode will debut on PC, Mac and Linux through Steam, GOG.com, and Revolution’s own website store on December 4th, with a PlayStation Vita version to follow later in the month. The concluding episode of the game will be published on PC in January 2014. iOS and Android versions will follow shortly after each PC episode.

“Whilst this is very much a classic Broken Sword game in terms of production values and sense of adventure, we’re really breaking new ground with The Serpent’s Curse,” says Charles Cecil, Founder & CEO, Revolution Software. “The success of our Kickstarter appeal has allowed us to be hugely ambitious – each episode is a full sized game in its own right. So we will be publishing two action-packed adventures in close succession. The response to those that have seen the game so far has been hugely positive – some suggesting that this is the best Broken Sword yet.”

When a mysterious painting is stolen during an armed raid on a Paris gallery, George Stobbart and Nico Collard are thrown, seemingly by chance, into the investigation together. From Paris to London and beyond, the trail becomes a race against time as dark forces from Europe's turbulent past are woken from their slumber. Broken Sword characters old and new are encountered - but who can George and Nico trust? The journey they are on reveals a conspiracy as old as the written word, whose ancient heresies will cause innocent blood to spill once more...

A classic point and click that feels utterly contemporary, Broken Sword 5 - The Serpent’s Curse has re-united key members from the Broken Sword team, with layout artists from studios such as Disney, Aardman, and Universal who have created sumptuous, classically drawn backgrounds. The rich, lavish HD art, evolves the art-style so loved in the previous Broken Sword games.

Episode 1 will be released on December 4th for PC, priced £9.99 per episode, £14.99 if both episodes are bought together. Price and release dates for other formats to be confirmed.

《Knack》游戏包装盒曝光 或不将支持“遥控游戏”

  PS4首发独占游戏《Knack》光盘包装盒谍照泄露到了网上,曝光了大量关键信息。

  《Knack》游戏体积37G,支持单人游戏和双人合作模式,之前大肆宣传的“遥控游戏”功能并未在包装盒上提及。究竟真实性如何尚不得而知,对此已经联系了索尼要求置评。

  《Knack》是索尼自己开发的第一方游戏,之前索尼曾表示,所有第一方游戏都将支持“遥控游戏”功能,也就是PSV和PS4互联,用PSV进行游戏,可能包装和印刷疏漏。

Nexon has announced a sequel for their massively popular MMORPG, MapleStory. What's particularly interesting, however, is that they've said the new PC game will not take place in the same world as the original MapleStory, but will instead be rendered in 3D and played from an isometric point of view.

Nexon has said they will be supporting MapleStory 2 alongside the original game. Beta testing for MapleStory 2 will go live sometime in 2014. An official release date has not been set.

Prologue

The year was December 25th, 1926. Japan was on the verge of welcoming a new era...the era of "Koubun".

Instead a revolution broke out, led by those who hoped to revive the Land of the Gods, Japan, and return her to its former glory. The Prime Minister's cabinet, the police department, the Zaibatsu families, the mass media...the flow of information to the outside world was immediately suppressed.

Out of options, the old government resorted to creating a group of elite assassins, called the "Yatagarasu" in order to maintain order and suppress the rebellion.

These government agents have become known as the "Government's Dogs" by the general populace. Now, they are on the move towards "Iga-sei", which is said to still function as the government's intelligence hub.

《三位一体2:完整故事版》发售宣传片放出

  拥有1080p/60fps和支持3D输出的《三位一体2:完整故事版》也将同PS4一起发售,日前游戏的开发商Frozenbyte放出了游戏的发售宣传片。

  本作既然号称完整故事版,除了收录之前的全部20个关卡之外,还将包括哥布林的威胁篇章故事,和名为矮人洞穴的隐藏关卡。游戏售价为19.99美元。在PS4平台上玩家还可以使用PS4手柄上的触摸板操控游戏,法师画箱子的时候不用那么费劲了。

Fable Anniversary’s new user interface detailed



Press Start

One of the first screens players are greeted with in Fable Anniversary is the Press Start screen. I have made 4 versions of this screen which are randomly displayed each time you load the game. The key thing I wanted to do with these screens was to make them interesting and showcase a range of different environments you can explore in the world of Albion.

Frontend and Pause Menu

Once you have pressed start, you are taken to the frontend menu which takes the shape of a book. While designing what the frontend should look like with lead designer Ted Timmins, we went through a number of different layouts and ideas. When we sat down to review all the concepts we noticed there were a few things that were still not quite working. Ted randomly commented “Can it be a book?” and the more we thought about it, the more it made sense. Each player is starting their own story as a new hero, as they progress through the game every action is being documented and their own story book is made.

I created a new set of concept images and worked on the visual design of this Fable book. This has also inspired the design of our strategy guide. The book theme is used for both the frontend and the pause menu, and strengthens the paper theme which runs through the Inventory as well as other HUD features. It makes use of simple navigation to enable the player to quickly start or continue a game, manage their saves (all 18 of them!), and make a new hero as well as featuring a special achievements page! (There will be more information on the achievements soon!)

HUD

Being the UI element that’s viewed most, the first task I gave myself was to tackle the HUD. I wanted to design something that remained familiar to players who have played the original game while still creating a fresh and refined UI. The visual treatment I decided on uses golden framed elements to help celebrate Fable Anniversary and give a bit of elegance. The HUD uses over 400 unique icons for displaying objects including items, characters and spells. I recreated all icons as vector shapes which has allowed them to be resized quickly and easily for multiple uses. The Mini Maps have been restyled to have a more hand drawn look and the map container can be easily resized or completely hidden for the more advanced player. As you play the game, elements of the HUD fade in and out as and when they are needed, minimising the amount of information on screen at any one time. Players also have complete control over the HUD opacity. If you want to raise the difficulty of your game, try setting it to 0%!!!

Inventory

The inventory screen was one of the biggest changes to the UI. The original game had many levels of options which you had to go back and forth through to find what you were after. I have tried to simplify it by creating a new layout which allows for quicker navigation. The Xbox 360 Controllers trigger and bumper buttons control which section you are viewing and their sub-sections.

The two thumb sticks and D-pad are put in control of filtering the content and reading item descriptions. Using this new layout players can quickly flick from choosing their equipment to reading about their current quest with minimal button presses.

Quest Complete

The Quest Start and Quest Completed screen follows the paper visual style by presenting you with an actual quest card. The card presents a summary for the active quest on its front side, it can then be flipped to show a more in-depth breakdown on its reverse side. When you have completed a quest successfully, all rewards gained are listed and the card is given a Guild stamp of approval!

Region and World Map

The Region Map screen now has more space to show the map and text for each location, making it easier to see region information at a glance such as which shops a town has or if any houses are for sale. Players can also filter the location list so only regions that have active quests are displayed. The world map itself has had a big visual style update (secret password “52 chickens”) so it looks more hand drawn and compliments the updated mini maps. I referred to the original Albion map heavily and was keen to try and keep a familiarity between the old and new. By keeping the colours similar I hope that, at a glance, players still recognise it as the iconic Albion map. A new full screen world map view has been added, allowing players to zoom in and pan around to explore every fine detail as well as utilising it for loading screens. It was important to me that the map should become more of a feature, animations and a few hidden surprises have been added for the keen eyed adventurer…

Telltale Developing a Game of Thrones Game, According to IGN
Telltale正在开发制作一款《权力的游戏》作品


多个消息源都证明Telltale Games目前正在开发一款《权力的游戏》的相关作品。

在最近一次采访中,有记者谈到制作《权力的游戏》相关作品,他们的回答为:“这种流言随处可见。就官方来说,我们不发表意见。”

Telltale没有确认也没有否认正在制作这款游戏,但是工作室仍然忙碌。Telltale继续为《我们身边的狼》开发升级,并且同时宣布开始制作第二季的《行尸走肉》。

Telltale也制作过其他一些有名的游戏,比如《侏罗纪公园》等,但是没有游戏能超越《行尸走肉》。


Telltale is Developing a Game of Thrones Game

IGN has learned from multiple sources that Telltale Games is developing a game based on George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones.

It’s worth noting that, while “Game of Thrones” is the title of HBO’s series based on Martin’s books, the series itself is actually known as A Song of Ice and Fire, and the first book is titled Game of Thrones. It’s currently unclear what title Telltale will be using for its game, and whether the storyline will be based on the show, books, or something entirely new.

We reached out to Telltale and received the following statement from Steve Allison, SVP of Publishing:

“We get these sorts of rumors about what we could be working on next cropping up all the time. Officially we have no comment.”

电击PS吉祥物总选举结果发表 KUMA勇夺第一

  在本周555号电击杂志上,第551期开始举办的“PS吉祥物总选举”结果发表!这次的角逐还是很激烈的,票选出的几名都是大家非常熟悉的游戏中登场的吉祥物角色们。而冠军和亚军的位置则由两只熊斩获了,分别是来自于《女神异闻录4》的KUMA和来自《弹丸论破》系列的校长黑白熊,两部作品还同样都有动画版做人气基础。

  获得总选举冠军的KUMA,还有来自女神异闻录系列总监督桥野桂以及人设担当副岛成纪的获奖感言。只以微小的差距屈居亚军的校长自然也不甘示弱。败给了两只熊但是仍然有第三位好成绩的万年杂鱼角色普利尼也深受大家喜爱。杂志最后还有前两名熊之间的各种对决。总选举前10名分别为:
