I was in Form 6 and I took the MUET at my school. I don't have any tips for writing, but my teacher did help us to improve on question 1(question which the candidates are required to write according to the materials given, like a table or a graph). I'm not sure whether the format is still same or not, but I'm sure your teacher would give you some exercises or examples on writing. As for open question(question 2), what my teacher recommended was giving an opinion as the main idea and elaborating that idea by utilizing WH- question and providing concrete(or at least applicable and logical) examples in the same paragraph. Four or five ideas should be enough for the essay, so there is a total of six to seven paragraphs with introduction and conclusion included.
Woah, seriously, are you saying that your speaking test is on this coming Monday? Relax, because anxiety didn't prove to be useful at all(my experience), take the group discussion as the forum discussion and speak confidently without concerning too much on fluency or pronunciation. All the best to you!! |
